Scene Share Kicks Off Arts Festival

Seventh and eighth grade drama students kicked off the Middle School Arts Festival this afternoon with a Scene Share. The group produced an adaptation of The Odyssey by Homer after exploring the tale in depth through different versions by Carl Sandburg and Mary Zimmerman. Students chose different selections from the epic to share, adapting the text with their own scripts for monologues and entire scenes. In addition to writing their scenes, students created costumes, worked on set design,  and even produced programs and posters for publicity. After the performance, students took questions from the audience about the process of creating the Scene Share.
