Today is the first day of St. Anne’s-Belfield School’s All-School Community Service Week. The school-wide event involves students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade, and is being held in conjunction with the School’s fifth-annual “Doug’s Trip” for the ninth grade class. While the Class of 2016 is in southeast Kentucky partnering with the Christian Appalachian Project, the rest of the School community is serving at Bellair Farm.

The School selected the farm for its local emphasis, as it supplies food to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, local churches, and the Bellair Farm Community Supported Agriculture. Students will assist the farm by seeding and mulching fields, dividing seedlings, planting in preparation for the upcoming season, and completing other small projects.
