Second Annual STAB Cut-A-Thon Collects 47 Hair Donations

The Second Annual Cut-A-Thon was held this past Sunday, April 28, 2013. Sponsored by the Upper School Greatest of Cuts Club, the hair cutting event aimed to secure as many hair donations as possible for the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Program, which provides hairpieces free of charge to financially disadvantaged women suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

Speakers included Steven Juster, a New Hampshire teacher who spearheads a “Day of Giving” that engages between 100 and 200 donors annually; Jane Johnson, Senior Community Manager of the local American Cancer Society; and cancer survivor Cele Craig.

Through the generosity of St. Anne’s-Belfield students, the event collected 47 hair donations, exceeding last year’s participation.
