Fifth Annual Counterpoints Concert Spotlights Jazz Violinist

This past weekend’s Fifth Annual Counterpoints Concert featured national artist and educator Randy Sabien. Randy visited St. Anne’s-Belfield last week to workshop with students in preparation for the Saturday concert. The evening began with the Counterpoints ensemble playing some of Randy’s own compositions, as well as more familiar and popular tunes such as “Eleanor Rigby.”

After a brief intermission, Randy and a local rhythm section, including two of STAB’s own faculty members, took to the stage and entertained the audience with a number of classic jazz, contemporary, bluegrass, and rock songs. To browse more photos from the concert, click here.
