Yesterday, Upper School theatre arts students presented a preview of the fall play, The Dining Room by A. R. Gurney. Directed by Dorene Fisher, the play features the stories of several families and their interactions in their dining rooms. The production is entertaining and moving, as audience members have a close-up look at the life events that often take place in the heart of the home.
The St. Anne’s-Belfield School production will be performed in Randolph Hall Auditorium on the Greenway Rise Campus (2132 Ivy Road) on November 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students and will be available at the door (cash or check only, please). The box office table will open at 6:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening, and 1:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
There will be a community outreach final dress rehearsal on Thursday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m. The rehearsal is free and open to the public, though contributions to a specified charity will be happily accepted.
