Students Participate in All-School Community Service Week

On April 8-11, students from all divisions are participating in the second annual All-School Community Service Week by working at Bellair Farm in southern Albemarle County. With a  mission to run a sustainable business and create a dynamic community around the farm and the food it produces, Bellair Farm will donate a portion of the produce harvested this spring to local food banks. Students working at the farm are assigned to various age-appropriate tasks, such as mulching the fields, working in the seedling greenhouse, or undertaking other small projects under the direction of the Farm Manager. The week promises to be a very special time for our students, as they learn a little about the basics of farming while serving the greater Charlottesville community.
