On December 18, St. Anne’s-Belfield School held its annual festival of Lessons & Carols in the Conway Convocation Center. The event was based on the traditional Kings College, Cambridge service.

The celebration featured Ms. Dolly Johnson, longtime Pre-School teacher, offering the Bidding Prayer followed by nine holiday lessons read by students. Emily Zhu represented the second grade, and was followed by Will Browne (third grade), Izzy Sanok (fourth grade), Tilly Matheson (sixth grade), Ethan DeLaurier (seventh grade), Graham Chandler (eighth grade), Emily Cai (tenth grade), Jayden Nixon (eleventh grade), and Logan Lucas (twelfth grade). Mr. Robert Clark, director of religious life, offered the Benediction.

A variety of School choirs and orchestras were featured throughout the event, including the Philharmonic Strings (In the Bleak Midwinter and O Holy Night), female members of the Saintly Voices (Once in Royal David’s City), the Fourth Grade Choir (The Friendly Beasts), the Saintly Voices (Come to the Music), and the Upper School Concert Choir (Bogoroditse Devo).

Event photo gallery and video will be forthcoming.
