2016 Kids for Kids Fundraiser

This year’s Learning Village Kids for Kids fundraiser helped support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, raising $16,000 for this cause! The JDRF is the leading global organization funding research into type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that can affect both children and adults.

The event kicked off with the fourth grade performing a choreographed dance to Pharrell Williams’ hit “Happy,” followed by an exhibition of jumping roping skills. After the Parade of Teachers Wearing Red, all Grades K – 4 students participated in dancing, jump roping, and hula hooping. NBC 29 was on hand to speak with student Max Taylor who lives with juvenile diabetes, and capture footage of the fun activities taking place throughout the morning. The story aired later that evening.

Photos of the event are now available on the School’s SmugMug account.
