Edison2 Very Light Car at the Learning Village

On Friday, November 11th, the Lower and Middle School participated in an “Energy Day” Math/Science Fair. Students in grades K-8 rotated through exhibits, films, and guest speakers, all related to the theme of Energy. The all-day event culminated with a special presentation of the Edison2 Very Light Car by its inventor, Oliver Kuttner. This unique design won the Progressive Insurance X Prize and was named by TIME as one of “The 50 Best Inventions of 2010.”  Mr. Kuttner explained the concept, creation, and future goals for this car.  He also answered countless questions from students and even took one lucky girl for a short ride around the field.
