Lower School Festival of the Book

During the week of March 12, 2012, the Lower School celebrated the Festival of the Book with two exciting visitors.  Best-selling author, former STAB parent and Trustee, John Grisham, met with third and fourth graders to discuss and answer questions on his first two ‘Theodore Boone’ books. Students read the stories prior to his arrival and many even came prepared with written questions for Mr. Grisham.  Students in kindergarten, first and second grade were delighted with readings of two Dr. Seuss books by former STAB parent and retired lawyer, Bill Grey.  Mr. Grey reads at numerous local elementary schools and thrills the children with his sonorous voice and captivating delivery. Mrs. Mathieson and homeroom teachers will be inviting him to read on other occasions in future.

Please ask your child about these special visits, and click here to see a gallery of photos.
